Roy has already tried to climb Fisher but he got hung up, probably at the crux area, not sure where the route went. So I am coming along this trip and when we get to this spot, a steep crack without good hand holds, it looks like it will go without needing a rope (we don't have a rope). Roy tackles the crack and manages to find a combination of moves that puts him at the top of the crack. I follow and after further questions about the route we manage to come out on top of Fisher Peak.
The summit area looks a lot different than it appears from below with a narrow structure, fun to scramble with considerable exposure to the north side, rather than being a wide, rather flat area, as it appears from below.
On the descent, we use a long, blue sling to facilitate getting down the steep crack. Then it is a delight scrambling back down to camp with a wide variety of wildflowers making for frequent photo stops.
Pictures later.
