We were looking for some sotware that would do a smooth pan of very wide images and stumbled onto a very promising program. It apparently was developed to allow 360degree panoramas inside luxury homes for sales purposes as well as panoramas of attractive vacation spots. It not only does a smooth pan but also allows zooming . As a special bonus, it has a floorplan feature that will hold a map with pointers that show where the camera was pointed during the pan.
The software outputs a Zip file containing all the images and files, including an HTML file, to run the panorama. This zip file can be downloaded if desired (see below). Opening the HTML file in your browser runs the panorama. Clicking the mouse on the panning image will pause it for 20 seconds. Running the mouse down near the bottom of the image shows contols for moving the image left/right and a slider to zoom into the image. Right click gets you into and out of 'Full Screen'.
If you run into "Java Applet 'Out of Memory' errors" check the Duckware website for an easy fix.
Files should be unzipped to new folders.
